Mr. William (Buddy) Avee White, Jr passed away October 7, 2024 at home with his family.

Buddy was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting, fishing and just working in the yards. He was a 1969 graduate of Freeport High School. He was drafted into the army to serve his country in the Vietnam War. He received a Purple Heart and two silver stars for Gallantry in Action. He was severely wounded and medevacked out. When he returned stateside, he finished his Military career at 71 Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He married and lived in Colorado for 30 plus years but returned to his roots in Point Washington in 2002. He had a 30-year career with Stress Con in Colorado, retiring at the age of 56.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Avee White, Sr; sister, Grace Fonville; brothers, Billy James White and James W White and 2 great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Linda White; 4 children, Joshua White and Sonja, Tammy Hickman and Joey, Valerie White and Ja'Lee White; one step-daughter, Elizabeth Hallford; mother, Grace White and brother, Michael White. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 fur babies.

A time of visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Lifehouse Church; 1144 N County Highway 395 Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Lifehouse Church with Pastor Damon Johnson and Pastor Charles Carlton officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Pallbearers will be Larry Morrison, Tator Morrison, Larry Barrett, Earl Barrett, John Fonville and Jessie Whoollery.

Burial will be held at Point Washington Cemetery with Military Honors by the United States Army.
