Mr. Stephen Meadows, age 71, passed away May 3, 2023. He was born on December 17, 1951 in Hampstead AFB, New York to Edward Gilbert Meadows Jr and Philomena O'Grady Meadows.

Mr. Meadows was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. He graduated from Walton High School in 1969, he also graduated from University of Florida receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. He worked in Civil service at Eglin AFB as an Operations Research Analyst for 42 years before retiring where he conducted Warhead Lethality Studies. He dearly loved his family, the outdoors and the farm that he worked and enjoyed for over 63 years. He highly respected and valued his co-workers on Eglin Air Force Base.

Mr. Meadows was preceded in death by his father and mother, and one nephew Kevin Meadows.

Mr. Meadows is survived by 3 brothers, Michael Edwards Meadows and his wife Cecilia Salamanca of San Diego, California, James Robert Meadows and his wife Trecia of DeFuniak Springs and David Meadows and his wife Carolyn of DeFuniak Springs; 2 sisters, Jeanette Godwin Rhodes and husband Michael of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and JoAnn Van Hall of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; 13 nieces and nephews, Michael Meadows and his wife Darlene Martinez, Angela Baca, Matthew Meadows, Justin Meadows, Adam Meadows and his wife Yuyila, Tyler Meadows and his wife Jessica, Ryan Meadows, Brianna Meadows, Billy Joe Godwin Jr and his wife Anna, Robert Godwin and his wife Loveta, Jordan Van Hall, Sylvia Daniel and Ariel Prout and her husband Noah.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, May 5, 2023 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church 247 US-331, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 5, 2023 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church , with Father Richard Dawson officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Pallbearers will be James Meadows, Michael Meadows, Tyler Meadows, Ryan Meadows. Billy Godwin and Bobby Godwin.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Blake Godwin, Kevyn St. Pierre, Waylon Little, Warren Godwin, Logan Daniel and Jordan Van Hall

Burial will be held at Magnolia Cemetery.
