Mr. Stanley Leon White, Jr., 80, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022. He was born on June 27, 1941 in Cullman, Alabama to Stanley Leon White, Sr. and Eunice Ledell Huffman.

Mr. White was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era, serving his country in the United States Marine Corps and United States Navy for over twenty years before retiring as a Petty Officer First Class. He served on the USS Nimitz. While serving he earned six Good Conduct awards, an Air Medal with 2 stars, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Pistol Sharpshooter's badge, and a Rifle Sharpshooters badge. He loved collecting movies and was a history buff.

Mr. White is preceded in death by his father and mother and his wife of 41 years, Phyllis H. White.

Mr. White is survived by son Stanley Leon White III of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; daughter Stacy Ledell Messer of Smyrna, Georgia; and his grandchild Waylon Lee Messer of Smyrna, Georgia.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 AM, Monday, May 23, 2022 at Barrancas National Cemetery; 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, FL 32508 with full Military Honors by the United States Navy.
