Shawn Eric Stroud, passed away at his home on August 25, 2025. He was born February 6, 1979, in Council Bluffs, Iowa and graduated from Lewis Central High School there.  Shawn moved to Destin in 2000 with his family and found his true home. He helped his family build a successful business and then entered the business world himself in 2007 with a detailing business. Shawn then expanded his business to include a taxi business, Cab's Here. In his spare time, you would find Shawn on the water fishing and kayaking with friend Trey. When not on the water, Shawn could be seen walking the Destin Harbor with his trusty companions, his dog Bandit and friend Mark. Shawn will be missed greatly by his loving family and friends.

Shawn was preceded in death by his grandmother, Janice Wilson and great-grandmother, Darlene Snuffin.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Kim McMullen, stepfather, Brian McMullen; two sisters, Heather Hall and husband, Aaron and Megan Dusenberry and husband Tyler; aunt Kelly Buehler and husband Mark. Shawn is survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his treasured Florida "grandmother" Mary Kjos.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
