Mr. Ronnie Elmer Bell, age 64, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023. He was born on January 12, 1959 in Walton County, Florida to James Elmer Bell and Hazel Estelle McHenry Bell.
Mr. Bell was a lifelong resident of Walton County, Florida. He was Baptist by faith and was a member of Leonia Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and son. He graduated from Walton High School in 1977. He received his associate degree from Okaloosa Walton Community College. He worked as an Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic with Walton County Emergency Services. He worked with Walton County Administration for 32 ½ years before retiring having served as County Administrator for the majority of his time there. He also worked with C.W. Roberts and also Waste Management. He was an avid University of Alabama football fan and also enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Bell is survived by his father James Elmer Bell; mother Hazel Estelle McHenry Bell; loving wife of 35 ½ years Gennifer Chapman Bell; daughter Shannon Bell Lang and husband Kahler; son Brandon Bell and wife Haley; grandchildren Finley Elizabeth Bell, Micah Ryan Bell; father-in-law Bill Chapman; mother-in-law Milli Chapman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members who will miss him dearly. Mr. Bell will also be missed by his special fur babies, Jack and Sadie.
A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, August 28, 2023 at First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs; 216 East Live Oak Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs with Reverend Rodd Jones officiating.
Pallbearers will be Darryl Carpenter, Monty Merchant, Chuck Stevenson, Gus Andrews, Wayne Stafford, and Jake Alderfer.

Burial will follow in Euchee Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
