Mrs. Priscilla Mae Ellison, age 79 , passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. She was born May 20, 1942 in Tralee, West Virginia to John and Lillian Woosely Belcher.
Mrs. Ellison was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, since 1994. She was Baptist by faith and a member of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church, where she enjoyed serving the Lord. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Walton Regional Hospital and also Raleigh General Hospital in West Virginia. She enjoyed arts and crafts and gardening. Mrs. Ellison was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, James Eli Belcher.
Mrs. Ellison is survived by her loving husband Gene Ellison of 61 years of DeFuniak Springs; children; Marsha Cook and husband Charlie of Beckley, West Virginia, Bradley Ellison and wife Tara of Pineville, West Virginia and Steven Ellison and wife Angela of DeFuniak Springs; sisters, Cassie Stewart and husband Rex of Pineville, Virginia, Connie Jewell of Pineville, West Virginia and Cindy Weeks and husband Greg of DeFuniak Springs; grandchildren, Zachary Cook, Adam Cook and wife Cassie, Rebekah Cook, Kali Ellison, Kaci Ellison, Jacob Ellison and Lily Ellison.
A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church;1125 County Line Road, Ponce De Leon, Florida 32455. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, with Reverend Toby Stone officiating. Burial will be held at Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to Sandy Creek Baptist Church Building Fund or Cemetery Fund at 1125 County Line Road, Ponce De Leon, Florida 32455. Pallbearers will be Steven Ellison, Bradley Ellison, Harold Shover, Laramie Shover, Greg Weeks and Adin Stewart.
