Mrs. Mildred Upton, went to Heaven on February 5, 2022. She was born May 1, 1941.

Ava was a resident of Bay Springs, Mississippi. Ava was a proud member of Lake Como Baptist Church, She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Upton and her son, Michael Couch.

Ava was survived by her daughter, Jill Rector (Keith), granddaughters, Laise (Marek) Penland and Lindsey Couch, four great grandsons and one great granddaughter.

Her greatest joy was teaching children about the Bible. She was a beloved and highly regarded teacher's assistant for several years at Bay Springs Elementary School. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family whom she loved unconditionally. She loved the Lords with all her heart. Nothing made her happier than having her friends and family dedicate their hearts to Jesus Christ so that she would see them again in Heaven.
