Mrs. Mary Kathryn Paul, age 95, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022. She was born on May 7, 1926 in Westville, Florida to Buddy Merchant and Minnie Jackson Merchant.

Mrs. Paul was a lifelong resident of Ponce De Leon, Florida. She was Baptist by faith and a member of Northside Baptist Church in Ponce De Leon, Florida where she attended the Silver Threads Sunday School class. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Having served as a Military wife, she set up many homes for her family as they traveled to their many Military deployments. She was also a member of the Westville Quilting Club, having made many quilts that she gifted to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking. She was employed with the Holmes County School District as a Teacher's Aide for many years.

Mrs. Paul was preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband of 62 years, Douglas Paul; her brother Ralph Merchant of Bonifay, Florida; and James Merchant of Ponce De Leon, Florida.

Mrs. Paul is survived by her children, Jack Paul and wife Claudine of Vernon, Florida, Don Paul and wife Caryl of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kathy Goddin and husband John of Ponce De Leon, Florida, and Rhonda Randall and husband Michael of Burleson, Texas, and Barry Paul and wife Judy of Boston, Massachusetts; grandchildren Danny, Brandon, Chris, Sean, Jeffrey, Angela, Amy, Brian, Kristie, Kelli, Benjamin, Hannah, Magon, and Miranda; and twenty-five great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Harrison and husband Ronald of Bonifay, Florida and two loving sisters-in-law, Jone Merchant of Bonifay, Florida and Betty Merchant of Ponce De Leon, Florida.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, March 4, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Northside Baptist Church; 2831 FL-81, Ponce De Leon, Florida 32455 with Reverends Chris Carroll and Kenneth Harrison officiating.

Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the Northside Baptist Church Youth fund at 2831 North Highway 81, Ponce De Leon, FL 32455.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.

Burial will be held at the New Ponce De Leon Cemetery.
