Mary Frances "Fran" Clary , 87, passed away in her sleep June 9, 2025.  A lifelong resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Fran was born on October 4, 1937 to John Richard Alford and Lydia Nowling-Alford.

Fran was known throughout the community for her talent in the kitchen. She had a true passion for cooking and spent many cherished years serving locals and travelers alike as the operator of the 331 Restaurant as well as several other establishments throughout the years.

Fran was Baptist by faith and most recently attended Bethel Baptist Church of Paxton.

Fran was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lydia Alford; her daughter, Brenda Barrett; her brothers, Edgar Alford and Adrian Alford; and her sister, Carol Rowe.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Barrett and Gaye Wambles; her grandchildren, Joseph Wheeler (Stevi), Clemon Lewis III, Amanda Barrett, and Dannie Lewis; her sisters, Jeanette Gavins, Shirley Holley, Margaret Hancock (Reno), Adelaide Lehmkuhle (Bill), and Sarah Rocks (Ron); sister-in-law, Sybil Alford, and a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends, Russell, Joan, Donna, and Tammy.

A time of visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will be held at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
