Mrs. Mary Dannette "Dana" Messer, age 53, passed away February 1, 2024.  She was born on May 11, 1970 in Geneva, Alabama to Dianne Bock.

Mrs. Messer was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family. She also enjoyed crafting and fishing.

Mrs. Messer was preceded in death by her mother and one daughter Alice Messer.

Mrs. Messer is survived by her Step-father Billy Gaskin, Sr. of Laurel Hill, Florida; her loving husband of 18 years, Carl D Messer of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; one daughter Alicia Hattaway and husband Timothy of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; four grandchildren Skylar Humphrey, Aiden Humphrey, Gabriel Miller and Renesmee Hattaway and one step-brother Billy Gaskin, Jr.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Community Holiness Church; 971 Live Oak Ave W, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435; with Reverend Howard Taylor officiating.
