Mrs.  Margaret Elizabeth Moffitt, age 69, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022.  She was born December 18, 1952 in Valparaiso, Florida to James and Nadine Donaldson Dunaway.

Mrs. Moffitt was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was Christian by faith. She was a veteran of the Armed Forces serving her country in the United Sates Navy. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of West Florida. She worked  as a School Teacher at Maude Saunders Elementary School and Paxton Elementary School for 27 years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and going to the beach, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Moffitt was preceded in death by parents and her brother, Jimmy Dunaway.

Mrs. Moffitt is survived by her children; Curtis L. Moffitt and wife Amanda of Crestview, Florida and Thomas W. Moffitt of United States Navy, Washington State; two brothers; Henry Alvin Dunaway and wife Mary of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Ricky Brassell of Freeport, Florida; one sister, Angie Short of Brooklyn, Alabama; and two grandchildren, Reed Moffitt and Emerson Moffitt.

A time of Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel.
