Obituary

Mr. Leroy "Bud" Delano Day, Jr., 68, passed away March 28, 2025.  He was born on July 10, 1956 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Leroy D. Day, Sr. and Mary Money Day.

Mr. Day was a lifelong resident of Walton County, Florida. He was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces serving his country in the United States Army as a SP4, having received the Army Commendation Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Good Conduct Medal. He owned and operated, with his father, DAYCO Sanitation Business in Freeport for 26 years.

Mr. Day was preceded in death by his father and mother and his loving wife of 43 years, Tammy Diane Day.

Mr. Day is survived by one son, Joseph L Day of Freeport, Florida, one daughter, Krista Leann Barker and husband David of Freeport, Florida, and one sister, Cheryl Sallee of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Mason Day, Kaleb Duke, Kylee Duke, Logan Barker, and Grace Barker.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 4, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating, with Military Honors by the United States Army.

Flowers are being accepted.

Pallbearers will be Mason Day, Kaleb Duke, Cole Quinley, Tayler Sallee, Lee Kilpatrick and Shane Gillis.

Burial will be held at Travelers Rest Cemetery in Samson, Alabama.
