Mr. Joseph Maine Davis, Jr., age 74, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022. He was born August 21, 1948 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Joseph Maine Davis, Sr. and Evelyn Pennington Davis.

Mr. Davis was a resident of Ponce de Leon, Florida. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He worked as a block mason for over thirty years. He also worked for the city of Mascotte, Florida. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and woodworking.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his father and mother; his wife of forty-three years, Julia Davis; two brothers, Lynn Davis and Jesse Smith; and his sister Marie Hood.

Mr. Davis is survived by four children, Joseph Davis III and wife Melissa, Shana Wiest and husband John, Waylon James Davis, and Christian "Kat" Johnson and fiancé Ryan; nine grandchildren, Clayton Patterson, Kimberly Davis, Katie Jo Davis, Alicia Meeks, Hailey Rose Meeks, Jason Meeks Jr., Shailey Rhoden, James Davis Jr., and Lyndsay Davis; and one great-grandchild, Naomi.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
