Mr.   Johnnie Brooks Wilson, Sr., age 84, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024. He was born October 1, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida to Brooks and Gladys Williams Wilson.

Mr.  Wilson was a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era serving his country in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant,  retiring after 22 years of service to his country as a Sergeant First Class. He received his master's degree in counseling psychology from Troy State University. He was devoted to counseling people who suffered from drug addiction and alcoholism. He was also very active in Alcoholics Anonymous since 1982. He was an avid watch collector. He was also a very skilled builder having built his own home, and he enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, Elfriede Wilson and Linda Wilson, his brother Floyd Wilson and his sister Doralynn Wilson.

Mr.  Wilson is survived by his children; Johnnie Wilson, Jr. and wife Gwyn, Paul Wilson and wife Anna Marie, Matthew Wilson and wife Tammie and Michael Wilson and wife Bonnie; grandchildren, Benjamin Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Jordan Wilson, Sophie Wilson, Blake Wilson, Emma Wilson and Clarice Wilson; brothers, Eddie Wilson and Frank Wilson; sisters, Barbara Chaite, Dyrene Wilson, Geraldine Wilson and Dora Wilson.
