Mrs. Johnnie Myrl Brown Lowery, age 83, passed away October 16, 2023.  She was born on March 14, 1940 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to John Alec Brown and Gaynell Taylor Brown.

Mrs. Lowery was a long-time resident of Freeport, Florida. She was Baptist by faith. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a master gardener, she enjoyed gardening and growing plants. She enjoyed watching wildlife. She was always willing to help those in need. She served as a caregiver for many family members and friends.

Mrs. Lowery was preceded in death by her father and mother, one brother Ray Vaughn Brown, one son Danny Johnson and one granddaughter Sara Boudreaux.

Mrs. Lowery is survived by four children Saronda Lewis of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Beverly Moore of Crestview, Florida, Terri Boudreaux of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Tim Lowery of New Orleans, Louisiana; 10 grandchildren, Dana King Husband Neal, Kayla Henderson, Robyn Doll husband Aaron, Jonathon Moore wife Catherine, Marissa Thompson. Madison Lewis, Macey Bryan and husband Wesley, Tracey Bridges and husband Chris and Brianna Lofria and husband JT; great grandchildren; Eliott, Clementine, Molly, Carley Grace, Emma, Miles, Beaux, Amelia, Gunner, Alayna, Skylar, Avery, Cason. Maverick and Kay; two sisters, Hattie Caswell and Barbara Madden and her best friend Rita Linton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, Florida 32439, with Reverend Marty Lawson officiating.

Burial will follow at Historic Gulf Cemetery in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
