Mr. John Bean, age 67, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away January 7, 2013. He was born July 8, 1945 in Lubbock, Texas to Morrise Bean and LoRease Wilson Bean. Mr. Bean was a resident of Mossy Head and was Baptist by faith. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era serving his country in the Unites States Air Force with over 20 years of service before retiring as a Tech Sergeant. He also worked as a Correctional Officer at Walton County Correctional Institute for over 13 years. He enjoyed making Indian crafts and attending Indian Pow-Wows. Mr. Bean is preceded in death by his father. Mr. Bean is survived by his loving wife 43 years Jan Bean of Mossy Head, Florida, two sons John Thomas Bean and wife Barbarann of Michigan, James Timothy Bean and wife Sherry of South Dakota, one sister Kay Ratliff and husband Mike of Texas, ten grandchildren Kimber, Heather, Zechariah, Brandon, Janice, Mike, Charles, Veronica, Spencer, Drew, and one great granddaughter. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435 with Reverend Donel Davidson officiating.
