Mr. Joe Don Batson, age 85 , passed away October 26, 2022.  He was born on March 29, 1937 in Blackman, Florida to Grady C Batson and Myrtice Marie Childs Batson.

Mr. Batson was a resident of the Red Bay Community. He was a Veteran of the United States Armed Forces, serving his country in the United States Army and the United States Army Reserves. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed farming his land.

Mr. Batson was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ralph Batson and his wife of 37 years, Rhonda Gail Batson.

Mr. Batson is survived by his children, Patricia Boehlert of Red Bay, Robert Joe Batson and wife Theresa of Holly/Navarre, Florida, Barbara Hynes of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Michael Batson; 13 grandchildren, Nicholas Batson (Kristen), Christopher Boehlert (Adriana), Jason Haynes (Emi), Ashley Batson, Amanda Batson, Brandon Batson, Joe Don Batson, Austin Batson, Kaitlyn Batson, Jessica Batson, Luis Fereira, Lisa Fereira and Linda Fereira ; 8 great grandchildren and one brother, Charles Batson and wife Teresa of Crestview, Florida

Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
