Obituary for Jerry Wayne Williams
Jerry Wayne Williams
12-13-1952 - 9-19-2021
As this battle ends, we've listened to stories of the biggest fish, the meanest hogs, creek-bathing as kids, fun times frogging, turkey tricks, CB handles, late river rescues, alligator wrangling, and the ability to walk the rail of a boat as sure-footed as a cat, without falling in & fly through his stretch of the Choctawhatchee River practically blindfolded.
From tales of logging days, having saw dust in his veins, where he could run any piece of heavy equipment, to using the toughest lightered knot to make the most beautiful table or chair.
And all this, living off a few hours' sleep because the days just weren't big enough for everything he wanted to do.
Family and lifelong friends will miss him, his teasing, and his tall tales, but the memories he's helped create have a life of their own.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Angie (Sayers) Williams (Ponce de Leon, FL), Keith, Fran & Logan Williams (Vanceboro, NC), Shannon, Michael & Noah Wilkins (Cape Carteret, NC) and Amanda, Guy, Trapper, Gage & Tucker Ramsey (Redbay, FL).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with Reverend Wilbur Williams officiating.
