Mr. Jerry Ward Shive, Sr. age 74, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021. He was born March 4, 1947 in Jackson, Mississippi to C.B. and Ella Ward Shive.

Mr. Shive was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was a devoted husband and father, giving much more than he ever took. He worked as a supervisor in construction for many years, taking pride in helping to develop the area in which he lived for many generations to come. He spent his free time enjoying cooking, woodworking, and landscaping his home.

Mr. Shive was preceded in death by his father C.B. Shive; his mother Ella Ward Shive.

Mr. Shive is survived by his wife Karen A. Shive of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; and his step-children Robert Antolick and Brittney Turman.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
