Mr. Jerry Larue Buckner, age 81, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022. He was born August 9, 1940 in Columbus, Georgia to Samuel Airs Buckner and Arlene Eldrige Buckner.

Mr. Buckner moved to Panama City, Florida in 1942. He graduated from Bay High School and earned his bachelor's degree in Criminology from Florida State University. He worked as a State Trooper for approximately twelve years and later worked in security at Florida Power Nuclear Plant until 1992 when he retired. He married Brenda Buckner in 1963.

Mr. Buckner is preceded in death by his father and mother; and his wife, Brenda Buckner.

Mr. Buckner is survived by his daughter, Brandy Donnelly, and his granddaughter Mallory.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
