Mrs. Irene Bane Griffin, age 86, passed away December 27, 2023.  She was born on January 22, 1937 in Radford, Virginia to Brady and Virginia Bane.

Mrs. Griffin was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Christian by faith and a member of Resurrection Fellowship United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years George, brother Bill, sisters Shirley and Betty and grandson Andrew.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her daughters Tammy, and Vikki (Don), granddaughters Beth (Trapper), Katie (Shaheer), and Rebecca (Ruben). She is also survived by her great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Nagrani and Emerald Coast Hospice for their care of Irene during her final days.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
