Mrs. Ilene H Snare, age 94, passed away June 30, 2024.  She was born on January 10, 1930 in Walton County, Florida to Reason Henderson and Alma Gainey Henderson.

Mrs. Snare was a resident of Florida most of her life. She was Baptist by faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved gardening. She worked as a secretary for Brevard County Board of Education for 30 years before retiring.

Mrs. Snare was preceded in death by her parents, Reason Kembeal Henderson and Alma Gussie Gainey Henderson; her loving husband of 55 years, Calvin Marvin Snare; one daughter Teresa Sheet and siblings, Lenevieve Henderson Davis, John S Henderson, Jeanne Henderson Kelley and Vivian Henderson Zehr.

Mrs. Snare is survived by her son, Ronald David Snare of Cocoa, Florida; daughter, Judith S McAuliffe and her husband Raymond of Jacksonville, Florida; brother, Jerome Lavant Henderson and his wife Mary of Northern California and two sisters, Marjorie H Cosson of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and JoAnn H McConnell and Allan of Culpepper, Virginia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Alaqua Methodist Church Cemetery; 4198 Coy Burgess Loop, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435 with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will be held at Alaqua Methodist Church Cemetery.
