Mrs. Grace Gentry Truett, age 83, passed away November 10, 2022.  She was born on August 13, 1939 in Greenwood South Carolina to John Thomas Gentry and Hattie Rowe Redmon. Mrs. Truett was a resident of West Bay, originally from DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was Methodist by faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother,  great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She worked as a lunchroom worker at Maude Saunders Elementary School for many years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking and collecting cookbooks. Mrs. Truett was preceded in death by her father and mother, her husband, Willard Truett, one sister, Frances Clary and son-in-law, Joe McCall. Mrs. Truett is survived by three sons, William Truett and wife Janice of Opp, Alabama, Arthur Truett and Evelyn of Gaskin, Florida and Jeffery Truett  and Leslie of Darlington, Florida; three daughters, Cathy Callahan and husband Donnie of West Bay, Florida, Earlene McCall of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and Faye Martin of Paxton, Florida.; two sisters, Charlene Wise of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Dorothy Varzelle of South Carolina, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great- grandchildren. Mrs. Truett is also survived by two step-sisters, Etta Posten and Neil Redman.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, November 14, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Wilbur Williams officiating. Flowers are being accepted. Burial will be held at Cluster Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
