Mrs. Frances Cross Grubbs, age 83, passed away April 19, 2024.  She was born on October 7, 1940 in Fairfield, Alabama to Hubert E Cross and Myrtle Maxine Ward Cross.

Mrs. Grubbs was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida having moved from Pleasant Grove, Alabama. She was Christian by faith and a member of Church of Christ in Pleasant Grove, Alabama, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School. She was a devoted wife and mother. She worked as an Administrative Clerk in the Dairy Industry. She also enjoyed a good conversation with family and friends.

Mrs. Grubbs was preceded in death by father and mother; her husband of 40 years Linn D. Grubbs and her siblings, H.A Cross, Gene Cross, Jack Cross, Charlie Cross, Jessie Cross, Eden Earle Helton, Eyelen Scott, Ruth Wrotten, Betty Hogland, the twins and Carl Cross; her son Jeffrey G. Grubbs and her daughter Jessica Linn Grubbs.

Mrs. Grubbs is survived by her daughters Leanne Ladner and husband Allen of McAlla, Alabama and Lisa Holland and her husband William of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and one brother Tommy Cross of Northpoint, Alabama.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel; 1300 4th Ave N Bessemer, AL 35020 with Preacher Wes Brown officiating.

Burial will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bessemer, Alabama.
