Obituary

Mr. Elmer Gene Ellison, 81, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022. He was born on March 1, 1941 in Pineville, West Virginia to Everette H. Ellison and Mary Cook Ellison.

Mr. Ellison was a resident of Walton County, Florida. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Armed Forces serving his country in the United States Air Force. He worked in the coal industry for many years before retiring. He was a manager of Little League Baseball Team. He enjoyed hunting.

Mr. Ellison is preceded in death by his father and mother; his wife of 61 years, Priscilla Mae Ellison; two brothers, Frank and Alfred Ellison; and his sister Mary Lou Williamson.

Mr. Ellison is survived by his children, Marsha Lynn Cook (Charlie), Bradley Gene Ellison (Tara), and Steven Lee Ellison (Angela); his brother Bill Ellison (Maribea); four sisters, Alphie Cook, Gladys Browning, Geraldine Jackson, and Helen Parsons (Doug); and seven grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00- 2:00 PM, Monday, May 2, 2022 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church; 1125 Line Road, Ponce De Leon, Florida 32455.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 2, 2022 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Toby Stone officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will follow in the Sandy Creek Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by United States Air Force.

Paul bearers will be Steven Ellison, Bradley Ellison, Harold Shover, Laramie Shover, Greg Weeks, Adin Stewart, Zach Cook, Adam Cook, Charlie Cook.
