Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Nehring, age 83, passed away November 5, 2024.  She was born on January 8, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to John Bell Butler and Margaret McKinnon Kelly Butler.

Mrs. Nehring was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was a devoted wife. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1963, receiving her Bachelor's degree in education. She taught school for many years and also worked as Program Chairman for the HeadStart Program. She loved to read and writing in her journals. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends.

Mrs. Nehring was preceded in death by father and mother; husband, Richard Nehring; brothers, Bill Butler and John Butler and sister, Margaret Butler.

Mrs. Nehring is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Agatha's Episcopal Church at 150 Circle Drive, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Burial will be held in White County Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Searcy, Arkansas.
