Eleanor "Nanny" Lee (Janes) Robinson passed away peacefully at Pelican Pointe Health & Rehabilitation Center in Windsor, CO on July 11, 2022. Eleanor was born to Horace and Alice Shores on July 14, 1932. Eleanor worked as a waitress and manager of a restaurant in DeFuniak Springs, FL, and later became a co-owner of a truck stop in DeFuniak Springs, FL with her spouse. She then became a co-owner, with her daughter, of a daycare and worked there until she retired in 1992. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband; Mack Janes, as well as her second husband, Rob Robinson; her parents Horace and Alice Shores; and her two sisters Deloris Windes and Jean Stromberg. She is survived by her three children, Mike (Rhonda) Janes of Pensacola, Fl; Sharon Taylor of Oklahoma City, OK; and Cheryl (Dean) Odom of Windsor, CO; her brother Randall Shores of Pensacola, Fl; and ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and four great-greatgrandchildren. Eleanor was our sweet loving, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She loved being with her grandchildren every chance she could. She will forever be missed and Loved!
We want to thank Pelican Pointe Health & Rehabilitation Center & ALL their employees for the remarkable care they gave mom over the last 6 1/2 years & especially her last days.
A special thanks goes out to Dr. Kirk Mitchell for taking over mom's care at the end to ensure she was as pain free as possible.
We also want to thank Pathways Hospice of Ft Collins & their entire staff for the care they administered to mom over the past years & at the end to make her passing as peaceful as possible.
Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 22, 2022 at Magnolia Cemetery; 222 North Park Street, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
