Douglas passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 in his daughter's home surrounded by family. He was born on July 22, 1960 in Louisville, Kentucky to Darwin E. and Dorris Ann Riddle.

Douglas was a career carpenter. He was a former little league softball and cheerleading coach for his daughter in Niceville, Florida and a member of the AM Vets in Louisville, Kentucky. Douglas enjoyed spending his free time with his grandson Mac, working on miscellaneous projects with his daughter Megan, fishing, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle Annie, barbecuing with neighbors, hanging out with his dog Franklin, and appreciating the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Darwin E. Riddle and Dorris Ann Riddle; and his sister, Patty Ann Burris.

He is survived by his life-partner Diana Lynn Riddle; daughters Stephanie Megan Riddle and Brandy Elaine; grandson Mac Oscar Higgins IV; granddaughter Alexis Nicole; brothers Larry (Dorothy) Riddle, Michael (P-Gail) Riddle; step-mother Wanda Riddle; aunt Evelyn Harth; and uncle Roland Riddle.

Douglas will especially be remembered for willingness to help anyone he crossed paths with, his grand sense of humor, contagious personality and his love of his family and animals.
