Mrs. Dorothy Jean Dennis, age 79, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022. She was born on March 26, 1942 in Alton, Illinois to James Barcelona and Mildred Bernice Powell.

Mrs. Dennis was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was a homemaker, devoted mother, and a loving wife to her husband of 63 years, William Dennis. She enjoyed traveling with her husband on his motorcycle.

Mrs. Dennis was preceded in death by her father and mother.

Mrs. Dennis is survived by her husband William H. Dennis of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; son Michael Dennis of Jacksonville, Florida; daughters Rebecca Stoddard of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Angel Vary of Mistick, Connecticut; sister Ruth Ann Kohler of Alton, Illinois; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
