With profound sadness we announce the passing of Deborah Ann Infinger, on February 2nd, 2022, our loving and devoted Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Friend, and Grammy to all whose lives she touched. Born in DeFuniak Springs, Florida on September 11, 1954. The first-born Daughter of Delmar & Jewell Goodwin Rushing.
Debbie is survived by: Her beloved Husband of 46 years Danny Infinger, Her Daughter, Coley Lewis (Chris). Her Grandchildren Emma, Isaac & newborn twins, Abby & Eli, that she was so proud to see born days before her passing. Her Mother, Jewell Rushing. Her Sisters, Cindi Murphy Cooper (David) & Kim Rushing Wagner (Bubba). Her Nieces & Nephew who were like her children: Natasha Cooper, Nikki Pitman & Chaise Nowling (Billie Jene). Her Great Nieces & Nephews: Caylee Arnold (Dylan), Hannah Cooper, Brynlee Pitman, Mariah Cooper, Peyton Infinger, Saylor Pitman, Avery Nowling & Chaise Nowling, Jr.. Her Brother-in-Law, Dale Infinger & Sister In Law, Caroline Butler.
Debbie was Preceded in death by her father, Delmar Rushing.
Debbie lived a full life as a devoted Wife, loving mother, homemaker and 3rd grade Teacher to hundreds of children. Debbie graduated from Walton High School in 1972 and then continued her education at West Florida College. She was employed by the Walton County School District for 34 years. First, as a Paraprofessional/Aide at Maude Saunders Elementary and then as a Teacher at Paxton High School and then as a 3rd Grade Teacher at West DeFuniak Elementary until her retirement in 2010.
She loved to cook, do crossword puzzles, put puzzles together, read but most of all spend time with her Grands. Emma & Isaac were her entire world. She loved those two with every bit of her heart and was so happy and proud when Abby and Eli were born.
She was the peacekeeper of the family and always the voice of reason. She was the most selfless person and always put everyone else before herself. No matter what. She was a friend to everyone she met. Always a smile and a kind word. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
