Mr. David Ray Johnson, age 74, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023. He was born on January 17, 1949 in Darlington, Florida to Wilmer Johnson and Bethel Louise Bartlett Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He graduated from Walton High School in 1966. He graduated from the University of West Florida receiving his bachelor's degree in accounting. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was Baptist by faith and a  charter member of First Baptist Church of Liberty. He was a certified Public Accountant, having owned and operated David R. Johnson, CPA, for over 40 years. He was a past school board member and Director of Finance for the Walton County School Board. He enjoyed working with and helping his clients. He also enjoyed traveling.

Mr. Johnson was predeceased by his father and mother; brother Bill Johnson and infant son, Daniel Ray Johnson.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife Susanna Johnson; children Jennifer Johnson Leath and husband Ty of DeFuniak Springs, Mandy Aden and husband Sheriff Eric Aden of Shalimar, David William Johnson and wife Hope of DeFuniak Springs; stepchildren Jessica McCormack and husband Chris of Niceville, Alex Cagle and husband John of Fort Walton Beach; three brothers Charles Johnson (April Brown) of Liberty, Florida, Ralph Johnson and wife Lou Ann of Liberty, Florida, and Joe Johnson (Lisa Mitchell); one sister Mary Frymire and husband Ted; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Receiving of friends will be held 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
