Mr. David Lawrence Coddington, age 78, passed away October 28, 2022.  He was born on February 24, 1944 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

During his 20-year Air Force career, Dave excelled as an Avionic Communications Technician.  His service included time in Vietnam. After serving on air bases in Turkey, Europe, and the US, he retired to the Emerald Coast with his family.

For the next 20 years, he managed local businesses and townhome and condominium complexes.  He was widowed in 2015 and is survived by a loving daughter.

Dave loved good food and was an excellent cook. He trained his daughter well in the kitchen, so she could cook for him, when he could no longer manage. He also enjoyed fishing, golf, and driving around aimlessly in his free time.  He was familiar with every road in Walton and Bay Counties and could tell you exactly where to find the good restaurants. He was steady, smart, kind, and had a great sense of humor.

Dave was a kindhearted and loving father. He will be sorely missed.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, January 06, 2023 at Barrancas National Cemetery: 1 Cemetery Rd, Pensacola, FL 32508.
