Mr. Danny Colan Nichols, age 74, passed away May 8, 2022. He was born on July 16, 1947 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Andrew Clayton Nichols and Ola Brock Nichols.

Mr. Nichols was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida living most of his life in Niceville, Florida. He was Pentecostal by faith and a member of Valparaiso First Assembly of God Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked as a carpenter, building contractor for many years. He enjoyed hunting with his son Danny Boy and close friends.

Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by his father and mother and two brothers, Howard Nichols and Andy Nichols.

Mr. Nichols is survived by his wife of 32 years Helen L. Nichols of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; two children Cynthia Hart and Danny Nichols Jr.; five step-children Rebecca Bandy, Julia Smith-Noble, Aimee Bray, Michael Smith and John Smith and one sister LaWanda Mudd.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Crowder Chapel Cemetery; 1693 Crowder Chapel Rd DeFuniak Springs, Florida, 32433 with Pastor Doug Suvino officiating.
