Ms. Concetta Clara LoDuca, age 86, passed away October 7, 2023. She was born on May 10, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri to Vincent LoDuca and Ida Geraci LoDuca
Ms. LoDuca was a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. She was Catholic by faith and a member of Saint Rita Catholic Church. She was a devoted mother. She enjoyed cooking Italian food. She attended O Fallon Practical Nursing School in St Louis, Mo. and particularly loved her Shriners Children's Hospital nursing rotation and the children loved her. She went to John Robert Powers Modeling/Finishing School in St. Louis, Mo and Patricia Stevens Finishing/Modeling School in Memphis, Tenn. and worked as a Tea Room Model for various department stores. Also in Memphis, Tenn., she was a Top of the Hundred Health Club women's fitness Club Manager. She loved her exercising and swimming. She became an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and taught swimming to children and all ages of adults. She was an American Red Cross Life Guard. She also taught ballet in St Louis, Mo. to underprivileged children. Her spirit never grew old; she loved life. At the age of 4 years, she fell from the 2nd story porch and was in a coma, where she had a near death experience. Christ took her hand and walked with her; she did not want to come back. It was so beautiful she said with Christ.
Ms. LoDuca was preceded in death by her father and mother, Vincent LoDuca and Ida Geraci LoDuca; one daughter, Donna Corpuz; siblings, James LoDuca, Charles LoDuca, Carmella LoDuca (Touzinsky) and Joe Joe LoDuca and one niece Antoinette LoDuca (Rogalski).
Ms. LoDuca is survived a daughter Marie Rafiqi, sister-in-law Teresa LoDuca and her LoDuca nieces, Maureen, Cathy, Linda, Carolyn, Rose, Gina, and Nancy. She was also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 20, 2023 at St. Rita Catholic Church; with Father Michael Hartley officiating.
Flowers are being accepted or donations can be made to St. Rita Catholic Church at 22 Saint Rita Lane, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459.
Burial will be held at Historic Gulf Cemetery.
