Cheryl Ann Bailey, age 79, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025. She was born on July 23, 1946, to the late Matthew Joe Rushing and Eunice Irene Rushing.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Bailey; her parents; and her sister, Polly McGarigle.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Melissa Webster and her husband Larry, and Rodney Bailey and his wife Heather. Cheryl was a proud and devoted grandmother to Candace Schipper (Levi), Kaitlyn Owen (Joshua), and Kloe Murer (Mark), and a cherished great-grandmother to Sutton and Zaeli, who brought her immense joy.

Cheryl was one of seven siblings and is survived by her sisters Juanita Lane (Terry), Jimmie Lou Griggs (Carlos), and Evelyn Rushing Peeples (Carl), and her brothers Roy Rushing and Joe Rushing (Barbara). She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Bill McGarigle, sister-in-law, Mary Sowell (Lavon), brother-in-law, Talmadge Wood, and sister-in-law, Pinkie Bailey.

She found her greatest happiness in life's simple pleasures—fishing, time spent on the water, camping, and traveling, especially cruises that allowed her to explore new places. Most of all, Cheryl treasured Sunday lunches shared with her children and grandchildren, where laughter, stories, and love filled the table.

Cheryl will be remembered for her warm spirit, her love of family, and the many memories she created with those she held dear. Her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and the love she shared so freely.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.

Pallbearers will be Levi Schipper, Joshua Owen, Tony Bailey, Jeff Hahn, Tim Bailey and Jasper Bailey.

Burial will be held at Euchee Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
