Charlie Lassiter Jr., "Mann," to all who knew him, was born in Florala, Alabama, on April 8, 1940, to Charlie and Eva Dell Lassiter.

Mann was a proud US Army veteran; His love was absolute and unwavering, not just for his loved ones, but for those who served under him. He gave his all without reservation and only asked for honesty and loyalty in return.

He often said that a man's word was his bond and that a handshake was above any signed paper.

Mann was known for his strong opinions, but to those of us who loved him, we knew him as a man with a very kind heart and a generous nature.

Charlie Lassiter Jr., age 84, went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2025, at 12:39 am, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Joyce B. Lassiter, his parents Charlie and Eva Dell Lassiter, his best friend Fred Lassiter, and 12 other siblings.

He leaves behind many friends and family who loved him dearly.
