Mr. Charles John Blaisdell Sr. (95) of Walton County, Florida passed away peacefully the morning on November 29, 2023 in his home.

Charlie was born May 22, 1928 to Hollis Lester and Mary Loretta Blaisdell in New London, Connecticut. He was a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, Fl since 1958. He was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather and hero.

Charlie was a U.S. Army Veteran having served his country during WWII. He was stationed in Japan as part of the occupational forces at the end of the war. He retired from Veteran's Gas propane company after having managed the Fort Walton Beach branch for over 30 years. He then worked at South Bay Ace and Lumber in Santa Rosa Beach for 20 years until retiring.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years Corinne Muriel Blaisdell and step son Curtis Floyd Cohran.

He is survived by his son Charles John Blasdell Jr and daughter Nancy Michele Blaisdell Berthold, son David Charles, daughters, Holly Loretta and Lorna May, step-son and daughter Daniel Eugene and Sandra Lucille and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Receiving of Friends will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, December 8, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20 East, Freeport, Florida 32439.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 8, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Homes & Crematory.

Burial will be held at Historic Gulf Cemetery.
