Chad Louis
Bishop
October 23, 1967 – May 10, 2022
Many people say you can tell a lot about a man by the way children and animals feel about them. If that is so, Chad Louis Bishop was a fine one indeed.
Chad was born on October 23, 1967 to Barbara Jeanette Brown Bishop and Freddy Maxwell Louis Bishop. He was raised in Freeport, FL where he was well known and loved by many. Chad had two daughters, Hanna and Kaylee Bishop, whom he has always loved with his whole heart.
Chad was an excellent heavy equipment operator with a natural gift for leveling grounds, but the thing Chad was best known for was fishing. Chad started fishing as a child, a love and skill passed on to him from his dad, Freddy. Chad loved being on the water, and whether it be with a cast net or a pole, Chad was known for bringing in the big ones. Chad passed his love for fishing on to his daughter Kaylee, who he taught to open a cast net before she was nine years old.
Chad was also a skilled pianist and artist, something many did not know about him. Self-taught in both, Chad enjoyed sharing his art and music with others. He composed his own pieces, and drew beautiful seascapes, lighthouses, and views of the water.
Chad left his earthly body on May 10, 2022 at 5:10pm. We believe there was a glorious celebration in heaven when he came skidding through the gates and was reunited with his mother, Barbara and many other family members that loved Chad dearly. Even as a child, Chad loved people and had a way of wiggling himself into the heart of just about everyone he met. Chad will be terribly missed by many friends and family members, especially his father, Freddy, daughter Kaylee, siblings Sonya (Danny) Copeland, Bart Bishop, Stacey Bishop, Shannon (Daryl) Erwin, a gaggle of nieces and nephews, and a special friend that treated Chad as a son over the past few years, Ms. Odelia Keaton.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday May 13, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20 Freeport, Florida 32439
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Hatcher Cemetery: 8 Hatcher Cemetery Rd, Freeport, FL 32439 with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.
You are welcome to send flowers if desired, but if you prefer to do a good deed in Chad's memory, we know he would consider that an honor, as well.
