Mrs. Carolyn Elizabeth Holman Melvin, age 81, passed away March 23, 2024.  She was born on April 13, 1942 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Arto Holman and Nettie Raffield Holman growing up and graduating from Walton high School in DeFuniak Springs, Florida in 1960. She Married the love of her life Ned Melvin in December of 1960 and they moved to Tampa, Florida retiring in 1998 they moved to Freeport, Florida where she lived out of the rest of her life.

Mrs. Melvin was preceded in death by her father Arto Holman, mother Nettie Raffield Holman, husband of 57 years Ned L Melvin and brother Terrell Holman.

Mrs. Melvin is survived by children Scott and Lori Long of Pelham, Alabama, Micheal and Katherine Melvin of Tampa, Florida, Forrest and Veronica Melvin of Freeport, Florida. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and expecting two more.

A time of visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM, Friday, March 29, 2024 at Heritage Pentecostal Ministries; 926 County Highway 83A W Freeport, FL 32439

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, March 29, 2024 at Heritage Pentecostal Ministries; with Reverend Joel Glenn and Brother Pryor Blake officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Marshall, Joe Floyd, Colby Fanto, Terry Raffield, Sr., Terry Raffield, Jr, Austin Rogers.
