Obituary for Betty Jewel Williams Hagan

Mrs. Betty Jewel Williams Hagan, age 79, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022. She was born January 24, 1943 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Luther DeHurbert Williams and Bessie Donaldson Williams.

Mrs. Hagan was a lifelong resident of Walton County, Florida. She is Christian by faith and a member of Cluster Springs Baptist Church. She graduated from Paxton High School in 1961. She received her AA Degree from Northwest Florida State College. She worked with the State of Florida Department of Revenue as a revenue specialist for thirty years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Hagan was preceded in death by her father and mother; husband James Hagan; and son Matt Hagan.

Mrs. Hagan is survived by her daughter Sandy Blackwell husband Sam of Cary, North Carolina; her sister Marie Price of Pace, Florida; and three grandchildren, John Blackwell of New York, Lauren Blackwell of North Carolina, and Rachel Blackwell Perkins and husband Tommy of North Carolina. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 AM, Monday, August 1, 2022 at Cluster Springs Baptist Church Cemetery; 1333 County Highway 1084, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433.

Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 1, 2022 at Cluster Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.
