Ms. Barbara Marie Nichols, age 83, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024.  She was born July 1, 1941 in Pensacola, Florida to Isaac and Juanita Blackmon Whatley.

Ms. Nichols was a resident of Fountain, Florida. She was Pentecostal by faith. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great .grandmother. She worked in the hotel industry for many years. She was an avid reader. She also enjoyed researching her family genealogy. She enjoyed dancing and fishing.

Ms. Nichols was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Earlene Croom, Gail Odom and Joyce Barber; brother, Hewey Whatley and son, Raymond Carl Nichols.

Ms. Nichols is survived by her children, Anita Hewett of DeFuniak Springs and Kenneth Nichols and wife Toni of Middleburg, Florida; daughter – in- law, Cathie Nichols; grandchildren; Shawn Nichols and wife Becca. Kyle Nichols, Star Hewett, Angela Hewett Douglas and husband Benny, Allison Carter and husband Drew and Jason Nichols, great grandchildren; Carlee, Emalee, Romeo, Jaden, Kannon, Indy, Alayna, Javon and Lil Benny.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
