Mrs. Barbara Alice Boyd, age 65, passed away on August 22, 2022. She was born August 9, 1957 in Lakeland, Florida to William Hardy Boyd and Elizabeth Fryer Boyd.

Mrs. Boyd was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was a Christian by faith. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her father and mother.

Mrs. Boyd is survived by her children, William Hardy Lamar Carpenter and wife Melissa of Ponce de Leon, Florida, and Alice Rosetta Simmons of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; her grandchildren, Korey Oliver Arnquist and wife Abby, Jonathan Gage Carpenter, Joshua Ferlon Carpenter, Kassandra Ann Rosetta Carpenter, Duran Brett Carpenter, Shayde Reanna Carpenter, Chasity Marie Carpenter, Dixie Lee Carpenter, and Anthony Tyler McMillian; her great-grandchildren, Alayah, Ezzi, Bailey, Sawyer, and Elijah; and two sisters, Deborah Mixon and husband Johnny, and Ann Wallis and husband Richard.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Brewer and Sons Funeral Home, Clermont Chapel; 1018 West Avenue, Clermont, Florida 34711.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Brewer and Sons Funeral Home, Clermont Chapel; 1018 West Avenue, Clermont, Florida 34711

Burial will follow at Boyd-Woods Cemetery in Groveland, Florida.
