Ashlyn Nichole, age 31, lost her battle to cancer on January 11, 2025.  She was born on April 15, 1993 in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida to Jason Encardes and Melissa "Holladay" Encardes.

Ashlyn Nichole was a lifelong resident of Walton County, Florida. She was Assembly of God by faith and a member of Generations United Church in Niceville, FL. She was a very devoted fiancé, daughter, sister and friend to many. She earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of West Florida in accounting. She was general manager of Bruner Lumber Company. She enjoyed decorating, reading, journaling, riding side by sides, gardening and cooking. She was a very talented director and organizer of all events.

Ashlyn Nichole was preceded in death by maternal grandparents David and Shirley Holladay, paternal grandfather Chris Encardes, Uncle Josh Encardes, maternal great grandparents Robert C. Padgett, and Lois Padgett, and paternal great grandmother Claire Encardes.

Ashlyn Nichole is survived by fiancé Garrett Bruner, father and mother Jason and Melissa Encardes, brother Matthew Encardes, Adlee and Patty Bruner (Garrett's parents), paternal grandmother Marji Booker and husband Ced, and paternal grandmother Jacque "Nana" Encardes, aunt and uncle Ron and Maureen Lewis, cousin Trevor Lewis and wife Ashleigh Lewis and Kelsey Lewis, Steve Encardes and wife Jean-Anne, Larry and Carol Ratliff, cousin Suzanne Wilks and husband Ray Wilks, John and wife Mimi Houston, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 17, 2025 at First Baptist Church; 216 Live Oak Ave E, Defuniak Springs, FL 32435 with Reverend Joel Glenn and Pastor Phil Daniels officiating.

Family requests dress attire can be blue jeans and boots.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ashlyn Nichole's name to "Cancer Freeze" at PO Box 92, Florala, Alabama 36442.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Encardes, Chris Redden, Trevor Lewis, Cody Binder, John Beman and Josh Parrish.

Burial will be held at Magnolia Cemetery.
