Allen Ray McGinnis, age 84, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. He was born May 19, 1938 in Andersonville, Tennessee to Elvis Ray and Una Arlene McGinnis. Allen was a resident of Destin, Florida. He was a devout Christian and member of First Baptist Church of Valparaiso where he served in several different positions. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He graduated from Auburn University, receiving his bachelor's Degree in Architecture. He was an avid Auburn football fan. Allen was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Allen is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Regina Williams McGinnis of Destin Florida; two daughters, Laura Walker (husband David) and Libby Borcherding (husband Cory) both of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, four grandchildren, Brennen Walker, Summerlin Walker, Coleman Leonpacher and Cooper Borcherding and one sister Rosemary Mathis (husband Jim).

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 9, 2022 at New Life Church, 178 N. Geronimo Street, Miramar Beach, Florida 32550. Reverend Jim Frederick and Reverend Shawn Baker officiating.

Receiving of Friends by the family will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emerald Coast Children's Advocacy Center at www.eccac.org; 401 MacEwen Drive, Niceville, Florida 32578.
