Mrs. Alice Marlene Thomaston, age 89, passed away November 6, 2023.  She was born on October 16,1934 in Blue Springs, Alabama to Charles Francis Sheppard and Rubye Alice Dempsey Sheppard.

Mrs. Thomaston was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was Baptist by faith and a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She owned and operated Alice's Antiques and Collectables for many years. She also worked with Walton County Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed fishing and growing African Violets.

Mrs. Thomaston was preceded in death by her father and mother; her first husband, Jimmy Turner; her second husband, Edsel Thomaston; four brothers, Charlie, Milton, Harvel and Dan Sheppard and one sister, Rita Sheppard.

Mrs. Thomaston is survived by her children Joyce Brandon and husband Tom of Texas and Philip Turner of Robertsdale, Alabama; one grandchild, Keith Brandon of Texas and one sister, Mary Ann Davis of Tallahassee, Florida

A time of visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; with Reverend Richard Murray, Sr. officiating.

In Lieu of flowers the family request donations may be made to Indian Creek Baptist Church at 3964 County Hwy 280A DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435

Burial will be held at Magnolia Cemetery.
