Mrs. Alice Ruth Garrett, age 89, passed away August 12, 2022.  She was born on January 25, 1933 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to James Franklin Garrett and Zilphia Neal Garrett.

Mrs. Garrett was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She is Christian by faith. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked with the Florida Department of Forestry for over 15 years before retiring. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing cards, and traveling

Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by her father and mother and siblings Milbra Kirkland, Clayton Garrett, Elzonia Brannon, Willie Mae Wolff and Donald "Sonny" Garrett.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by one daughter Diane Buch and husband Dean of Milton Florida; two grandchildren Haley Buch and Lauren Buch and one great grandchild Sawyer Burridge. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in the Chapel at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in the Chapel at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Reverend James Pate officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will be held at Magnolia Cemetery.
