Abbie Anne McLean Dudley, aged 86, passed away on November 29, 2022 In Defuniak Springs, Florida. She was born May 24, 1936 in Euchee Valley, Florida to Duncan Van McLean and Bonnie Day McLean.

Anne was a graduate of Walton High School and Massey Draughon Business College in Montgomery, Alabama. After college, she moved to Pensacola, FL, where she met Douglas L. Dudley. They married on July 3, 1955 at Euchee Valley Presbyterian Church, Eucheeanna, FL. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Lawton, Oklahoma where Douglas was stationed in the U.S. Army. They returned to Florida and settled in Marianna. Anne was actively involved with The Girls Scouts and was troop leader for over 12 years, participating with both of her daughters. She was also involved with the Pilot Club of Marianna, serving in a myriad of positions including several terms as President in 1980's. Anne joined the First Presbyterian Church of Marianna in 1958 and served as Deacon and Elder throughout her many years at this church home. She worked in the banking industry, retiring from Regions Bank in 2001. Anne enjoyed the simple pleasures; spending time with friends and family, reading, and gardening. Her true passion was genealogy and was considered to be the Family Historian. She made several pilgrimages to Scotland and the Carolinas on quests for more knowledge of her Scottish ancestry. Upon retirement she moved to Winter Park, FL to be closer to her daughters and granddaughter. Once again, she became active in Girl Scouts with her pride and joy, granddaughter Delaney. Anne returned to her hometown of DeFuniak Springs and spent her final days enjoying family and church life at First Presbyterian Church of DFS, serving again as an Elder.

Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Duncan and Bonnie McLean, husband, Douglas Dudley, and brother, Clinton McLean.  She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Dudley of Orlando, Florida, Luanne Dudley, and granddaughter, Delaney Durden of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Abbie Anne will be remembered for her patience, kindness, and generosity to everyone she knew.

A Celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 9, 2022 at the First Presbyterian Church of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; 1063 Circle Drive, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435 with Reverend Steven Rhodes officiating.
