Mrs. Ila J Burke, age 86, of DeFuniak Springs, passed away May 28, 2008. She was born October 21, 1921 in Walton County, Florida to Lynn and Sara Lee McHenry. Mrs. Burke been a lifelong resident of Walton County. She was Baptist by faith and a member of the Knox Hill Baptist Church. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a devoted Christian with a very forgiving heart she was known as a peacemaker. Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her father and mother, husband Hermon Burke of 51 years, three brothers Frank McHenry, Webb McHenry and Dewey McHenry and one sister Recy Floyd. Mrs. Burke is survived by her two sons Mike Burke and wife Jami of the Caney Creek Community and Mitch Burke of DeFuniak Springs, one daughter Mary C. Treleven and husband Kenneth of the Bunker Community, one brother David McHenry of Argle, Florida, two sisters Lela Donaldson and Berta Floyd and Bill all of Lakeland, Florida, five grandchildren Brandi Campbell and husband Richard, Bobby Alford and wife Kelli, Michelle Williams, Amon Burke and Jonathan Sheldon, four great-grandchildren Marc, Tyler, Kaylee and Chase. Visitation services will be conducted at 6:00~8:00 PM, Friday, May 30, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, 230 Park Avenue DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Reverend Rodney Infinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Cemetery.
