Mrs. Barbara Wiezycki, age 67, of Mossy Head, Florida passed away Sunday, April 5, Following a long fight with cancer. She was born August 29, 1941 in Mossy Head, Florida to the late Simon Bo and Pearl Davis. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and a great friend to all who knew her. She was a member of Mossy Head First Baptist Church. She graduated from Walton High School in DeFuniak Springs in 1959. She was very active with the American Cancer Society. She loved the RELAY FOR LIFE. Barbara worked for several years with American Red Cross then with the Civil Service for 28 years at Eglin Air Force Base. Barbara is proceeded in death by her father and mother, Simon Bo and Pearl Davis, brother Joe Davis, sister Myrtle Young and brother Ebbie Price. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Bob Wiezycki; two daughters, Beth Bock Williams and husband Gordy of Freeport, and Mary Jo Rushing Bridges and husband Joel of DeFuniak Springs; eight grandchildren, Joshua Rushing and fianc Atina Bentley, Christopher Rushing and wife Starla, David Bock and fianc Megan Simmons, Robby Bock, Reuben Williams, Abigail Williams, Jacob Bridges and Lydia Bridges; three great grandchildren Emma Rushing, Alexys Rushing and Ashlyn Christian; two sisters Billie Faye Whiddon and Elva Dee Everidge; one brother Simon Jack Davis and wife Pearl. She was also loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00~8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverends Bill Ferrand and Robert LaFavre officiating. Burial will follow in the Mossy Head Cemetery.
