Mrs. Erline Buchert, age 99, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 6, 2011. She was born September 19, 1911 in Carrabelle, Florida to John Henry and Vena Pyles Campbell. Mrs. Buchert was a long time resident of Walton County. She had a strong faith and touched many peoples lives with her walking the walk as well a talking the talk witness. Everyone who met her, caregivers, pest control men, repairman, and numerous others was drawn to her by her sweet, caring, pure child-like Christian spirit and stayed in touch or visited her even when not serving her in some manner. She was the head bookkeeper at Wright Brothers Aircraft Factory in Cincinnati during WWII and if needed a riveter at night. She also was a medal winning sharp shooter, belonging to the National Rifle Association. She was a charter member of the Eastern Star. One of Mrs. Bucherts greatest enjoyments was her family and especially children and animals. She loved them all and they loved her in return. Even the huge bull, Reggie, who lived on the farm was docile in her presence of 5 98 lbs. Mrs. Buchert is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert V. Buchert, brother H.V. Campbell, and her son Rex B. Littleton. Mrs. Buchert is survived by her daughter Marlene Guerrieri and husband Bruno of Tallahassee, Florida; sons Gerald J. Buchert and wife Laurie of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Norman C. Buchert and wife Carol of Merritt Island, Florida; nephew John H. Campbell, III (Jack) of Seattle, Washington; daughter-in-law Marie Littleton of Port St. Joe, Florida; dearest relatives John (Hunter) and Donna Page of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; dearest of friends Chet and Marsha Winegarner and close friends Topper of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Sylvia Moore of Ponce De Leon, Florida; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren, and 1 great niece. A time of visitation will be held 4:00~5:00 PM, Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Graveside services will be held 5:30 PM, Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Alaqua United Methodist Church Cemetery 102 Ruth Dorriety Road, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435, with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.
